Grapple Leeds hosted their latest show from the Miners Welfare Hall, Garforth, this past Saturday to an amazing crowd. Where they saw the ‘Ugandan Warrior’ Nsereko retain his Grapple Britain Championship by pinfall against Dan James and The Burial (David Graves & B.A. Rose) were able to keep hold of their Grapple Tag Team Titles by defeating Corporal Manners & ‘Dangerous’ Danny Binks who had beaten the Champs in singles competition that night.

IPW:UKhave a NEW Champion and his name is, Jimmy Havoc, after defeating Bad Bones to unify the IPW:UK World & All-England Championship Titles at “Summer Bonus” this past weekend. The night was full of controversy as Vince Russo’s aide informed the crowd that D&D would be stripped of the Tag Titles and fired Daniel Edler. Edler would then appear and state that the Tag Titles were going nowhere and that he’s the Owner, not Russo. This has now lead to a 10-Man Tag Team Match between Team Russo and Team Elder on September 27th. In the Main Event of the evening, The GZRS would come to help Havoc as D&D did for Bones with Havoc going through multiple tables (one from the bleachers and into the Merchandise table). However Vince Russo’s aide would hit Bad Bones with a briefcase and handcuff him to the ring ropes allowing Jimmy Havoc to claim both titles and become the Unified IPW:UK Champion.

Preston City Wrestling hosted their 4th Anniversary show, “Forth Awakens”, this past Friday to a SOLD OUT crowd. The highlights from the night were; Dave Mastiff defended his title against Bubblegum & Chris Masters in a 3-Way Elimination (Masters was added just before the match by GM Joanna Rose) but was eliminated by Bubblegum and then Mastiff beat Bubblegum to retain the title only to be told that he would have another match but this time against Samoa Joe later that night. Team Single (Rampage Brown & T-Bone) would defend their titles against reDRagon at November’s SuperShow after they beat Joey Hayes & Matin Kirby. Mastiff vs Samoa Joe ended in a No Contest when the members of Friends With Benefits came out and interfered, GM Joanna Rose then informed the PCW Champion that he would be facing the GWP Owner himself, Jeff Jarrett at “Fright Night” this October. Finally Kris Travis made his return to the ring after battling cancer to face Sha Samuels, unfortunately Travis didn’t win the match but I don’t think anyone cared as he’s back wrestling and is looking a lot better since his treatment.

In highlights from the night; The C2 Agenda (Mark Walsh & Tyler Hawke) became the NEW PWP Tag Team Champions when they defeated The Lionhearts (Jason Larrusso & Eddie Ryan), Ultimo Tiger successfully retained his PWP Catch Division Championship against former ROH/NXT star, Chris Hero, Doug Williams won the Money In The Bank 3-Way match earning him a title match of his choosing at any live event in the future. Williams didn’t waste any time and once Ultimo Tiger had won his match against Hero, he would cash-in said contract and beat Ultimo Tiger to become the NEW Catch Division Champion.

They will also be holding a 3-day tour, “Three Days, Three Counties” starting on August 14th at the Saltash Social Club, Cornwall, then moving onto the Teignmouth Broadmedow sports Centre and finally finishing at the Taunton Wellsprings Centre, Somerset. TNA’s Robbie E will need to find a partner as he makes his debut and will take on the PWP Tag Team Champions. Doug Williams and TNA’s Rockstar Spud are also set to appear.
