ROH TV Review 26/7/14

Added by Justin DiVirgilio

This episode of ROH TV is seriously brand new with matches that were taped for TV in Dearborn, Michigan.

Monster Mafia (Ethan Gabriel Owens and Josh Alexander) vs. reDRagon (Kyle O Reilly and Bobby Fish)

The match starts out with O Reilly and Alexander gains the early advantage and tags in Owens for a drop toe hold leg drop combo. Alexander hits a blue thunder bomb on Fish assisted by Page and then Owens hits a suicide dive on O Reilly. Fish then hits his slingshot senton for a one count and then tags in O Reilly. Fish tags in to stop Owens’ momentum but Owens hits a release vertical suplex. Owens tags in Alexander and Alexander hits a double suplex on Fish and O Reilly. Alexander picks up O Reilly in a torture rack and then tosses him over to Owens who hits a sit down powerbomb but Fish breaks up the pin. O Reilly hits a tornado DDT and then reDRagon hits the Chasing the Dragon for the win.

This was the first time that I’ve seen Monster Mafia as a team and I’m pretty sure it’s the first time they have teamed on ROH TV. The match was really good as it was a fast paced match that showcased Monster Mafia to fans who have never seen them before. Hopefully now that ROH signs Monster Mafia.

Hakim Zane vs. Moose

The match starts out with Zane hitting Moose but Moose isn’t budging as he is at least 6 feet 5 inches tall. Moose picks up Zane in a powerbomb but Zane slips out and hits the ropes but Moose hits him with a drop kick that sent Zane flying towards the corner. Moose wins with a spear that he does a front flip at the same time.

Veda Scott and Ramone come out and Veda says that her offer for Moose to become a client of Veda Scott is still on the table. Moose and Ramone are trading words and it seems like a match between these two guys is going to happen soon.

This was a typical squash match as it was the debut of Moose. The promo set up possible match between Ramone and Moose. The crowd was also very into Moose the entire match.

4 Corner Survival for a ROH Tag Title Shot: The Decade (Roderick Strong and Jimmy Jacobs) vs. War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe) vs. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarain vs. The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe)

The match starts out with Daniels and Hanson. Hanson does his signature cartwheel and then hits a vicious lariat on Daniels. Jacobs then tags himself in for Hanson and Mark tags him self in for Daniels. Mark hits some redneck Kung fu and then the missile drop kick that sent Jacobs hard into the bottom turnbuckle. Kazarian tags himself in for Mark and hits Jacobs with a bodyslam. Daniels tags in for Kazarian and hits a springboard moonsault on Jacobs. Jacobs tags in Ray Rowe to get himself out. Hanson hit a tandem powerbomb on Daniels who then tags in Jay. The Briscoes then start double teaming on Hanson. Mark hits Hanson with an enziguri but falls to Jacobs who tags himself in. Mark hits a vertical suplex and Daniels tags himself in. Daniels rolls out to the apron and Roddy hits a back suplex on Daniels on the apron. Daniels is getting double teamed by the Decade and he has been in the ring for quite some time taking a beating. Daniels hits an STO on Jacobs and finally tags in Kazarian. Kazarian runs through Strong and hits a springboard leg drop. Rowe tags himself in for Kazarian and Roddy tags himself out for Daniels. Rowe hits a huge power slam. Roddy hits the sick kick on Daniels but Daniels kicks out. Daniels hits the Best Moonsault Ever on Roddy for the win.

The match was a really good match that was enjoyable and showcased ROH’s now thriving tag team division.

This episode of ROH TV was an enjoyable watch as it debuted a new team in Monster Mafia and a new wrestler in Moose.
