ROH TV Review 17/5/14

Added by Justin DiVirgilio

This show aired on the same day as War Of The Worlds.

The show started off with video package showing highlights of AJ Styles and Michael Elgin’s draw in Philadelphia on the 3/29/14 episode of ROH TV.

Cedric Alexander & Andrew Everett vs. reDRagon (Kyle O Reilly & Bobby Fish)

reDRagon came out without the tag titles although they are now current tag champs. This match went about 15 minutes and was fast paced getting the fans into the show. Everett and Cedric worked very well as a team against an established team like reDRagon. Alexander and Everett wowed fans in attendance with their high flying styles and I hope to see them team in the future. reDRagon picked up the win with Chasing The Dragon which is a kick to the head while held in the vertical suplex position and then a brain buster. This was a pretty good match as I give it 3.5 out of 5.

A promo is aired about next weeks show which features a Charm City Street Fight invoking Outlaw Inc. (Homicide and Eddie Kingston) and Kevin Steen and Cliff Compton.

AJ Styles vs Michael Elgin

This was the main event that rewarded the winner a future ROH title shot. This match was better than their first match in Philly as AJ and Elgin added different stuff to the match. AJ and Elgin had a lot of back and forth stuff in the match which had the fans really into the match. The fans chanted, “This is awesome!” about 2 times during the course of the match. Elgin won the match giving him the title shot against Adam Cole at Best In The World on June 22nd on PPV. This was the better of the two singles match AJ and Elgin had as I gave it
a 4 out 5.

This show was really good asit is every week in my opinion. ROH puts out the most consistent weekly wrestling show.
