B Block

SANADA vs Toru Yano

Yano sneaks up from behind as SANADA makes his way to the ring and tries to tie him up in the Paradise Lock for a quick win but can’t get it in, instead uses the trainers tape but SANADA makes it to the ring in time. Outside the ring after a brief spell inside, SANADA ties up Yano in Paradise Lock in a guardrail, Rocky Romero comes out to help from commentary put gets put in one too. SANADA gets the count out win as Rocky screams ‘Help me, help me, somebody get Milano’.

Tama Tonga vs Hirooki Goto

Utter garbage of a match, DQ win for Goto.

Zack Sabre Jr vs Juice Robinson

Juice may have stopped the rot but he’s still injured and he’s facing the submission master. A fairly good match with decent spells for both men, Juice had the advantage in the striking and power game but wrestling ZSJ is like playing chess, ZSJ wraps up Juice Robinson like I’ve never seen before and submits for the win.

Tomohiro Ishii vs Kenny Omega

I think this is their 4th encounter now and long may they continue to meet. The memories of Ishii trying to prevent a Dragon Suplex with his teeth clenching the top rope from last year still in the memory. Another good match between these two that I would say Omega got the most meaningful, devastating offence in out of both of them. V-Trigger after V-Trigger to the worn down neck of Ishii but he kept coming back, Omega failing to land any of his three attempts at the One Winged Angel, Ishii mounted a comeback in the closing stages and delivered his patented Vertical Drop Brainbuster for the win, ending Omega’s winning streak.

Kota Ibushi vs Tetsuya Naito

Naito back in front of the Osaka crowd, who cheer him at the start but his actions during the match make way for boos, spitting at them and Ibushi. This was more back and forth than the Omega and Ishii match and while early on they seemed to target each other’s legs with Naito getting more success, it changed to the neck and Ibushi clearly won this battle, a fantastic match that was terrifying in places due to the months. Naito taking a nasty bump after a deadlift German from Ibushi taking him in from the apron, followed by a Last Ride, Bomaye and Kamigoye in quick succession for an Ibushi win.

One of the better days of the G1 lately and maybe so far, but B Block has usually delivered. The last 2 should definitely be watched and maybe even ZSJ win over Juice.
