NJPW G1 Climax – Night 3 (14/7/19) Results

1)  Six Man Tag match: Hirooki Goto, Tomoaki Honma & Yuya Uemura vs Juice Robinson, Toa Henare & Yota Tsuji

Winners: Toa, Tsuji & Juice after Toa spiked Uemura with a Tackle and covered, Goto broke up the pin, but Juice was on his immediately. Goto knocked Juice out of the ring and followed, as Toa fired up and pulled Yuya up for a Uranage, but Yuya fought out with elbows and threw a Lariat, which Toa countered and blasted Yuya with strikes, before DRILLING him with a Thrust Headbutt and following with The Uranage to get the win.

2)   IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley & Shota Umino vs Jeff Cobb & Ren Narita

Winners: Cobb & Narita after Umino dumped Cobb with a Vertical Suplex and covered for a 2, Umino looked for a German Suplex, but Cobb reversed, scored with an Elbow to the Umino’s back and followed with an Olympic Slam for a 2, before yanking Umino up, sending him into the ropes and hitting The Tour of the Islands to get the win.

3)   Six Man Tag match: Bullet Club (“Switchblade” Jay White, “Tokyo Pimp” Yujiro Takahashi & “The Crown Jewel” Chase Owens w/Gedo) vs CHAOS (NEVER Openweight Champion “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano & YOSHI-HASHI

Winners: CHAOS after Ishii dumped White with a Powerslam, they both hit the ring, as Yano swung at Owens, Chase ducked and lit Yano up with strikes, before grabbing the Corner Pad and swinging, Yano ducked and Owens held up from hitting the Referee, allowing Yano to score with a Low Blow and use a School Boy to get the win.

4)   Six Man Tag match: Suzuki-Gun (“The King” Minoru Suzuki, TAICHI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) vs Los Ingobernables de Japon (IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito, “The Dragon” Shingo & BUSHI)

Winners: Suzuki-Gun after BUSHI blasted Minoru with an Enziguri and hit the ropes, Minoru charged after him and went for the Rear Naked Choke, but BUSHI was able to fight it off and throw a Lariat, which Minoru countered, immediately locking in a Rear Naked Choke and transitioning into The Gotch Style Piledriver, putting BUSHI down for the 3, as TAICHI choked out Naito with the Monitor Cables.

5)    G1 Climax – A Block: Bad Luck Fale (2) w/”Master Heater” Jado vs Lance Archer (2)

Winner: Archer (2) after Jado entered the ring and swung his Kendo Stick, Archer caught it and threw Jado out of the ring, before countering Fale and hitting the ropes to smoke him with The Derailer! Archer fired up and planted Fale with a BIG Chokeslam, getting a close 2, before locking in The EBD Claw and forcing him into the pin! (Good match right here! Archer is on fire to start this tournament off, getting a great match with Ospreay is one thing, but getting this kind of match out of Fale is awesome.)

6)   G1 Climax – A Block: “Cold Skull” SANADA (2) vs IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay (0)

Winner: Ospreay (2) after Ospreay went for The Storm Breaker, only for SANADA to escape and lock in Skull End, forcing Ospreay to his knees, before spinning Will around and putting him down, quickly going for a Moonsault, but Will moved and SANADA landed on his feet, quickly charging in, only for Ospreay to make him pay with a Spanish Fly and covered for a 2. Ospreay fired up and connected with The Robinson Special, before hitting the ropes for The Oz Cutter, which SANADA caught and locked in Skull End, but Ospreay escaped and blasted SANADA with a Superkick, before hitting the ropes for The Os Cutter, SANADA moved and hit the ropes himself, going for his own Os Cutter, but Ospreay caught him and hit a Rip Cord Hook Kick, before scoring with The Os Cutter and holding on, pulling SANADA up and planting him with The Storm Breaker to finally pick up the win! (AWESOME! FUCKING AWESOME! Spectacular exchanges, high energy and top of the line professional wrestling. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!)

7)      G1 Climax – A Block: Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. (0) vs “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (2)

Winner: Okada (2) after ZSJ dropped Okada with a Slap to the face, he fired up and went for The PK, but Okada caught the foot and stood up. ZSJ slapped away at him some more, until Okada ducked and blasted Zack with a Dropkick to the back of the head, before sending him into the ropes and smoking him with another Dropkick. Okada looked for The Rainmaker, only for Zack to counter into The European Clutch for a close 2, Okada came back with a Lariat, but Zack caught it into The Octopus Hold and rolled a Cradle for another 2. Zack charged at Okada, who lifted him for a Tombstone, but Zack was able to fight out and kick Okada’s arm, before looking to follow up, only Okada countered and went for a Lariat, which Zack countered into a modified Octopus. Okada struggled free and dropped Zack with a Spinning Rainmaker, before hitting The Rainmaker and putting Zack down for the 3.

8)  G1 Climax – A Block: “The King of Darkness” EVIL (0) vs “The Golden Star” Kota Ibushi (0)

Winner: EVIL (2) after Ibushi crushed EVIL with BOMA YE and covered for a 2, Ibushi exposed his knee and looked for Kami Goye, only for EVIL to counter and look for Everything is Evil, but Kota escaped, only to eat a BIG Short-Arm Clothesline, which Ibushi answered with one of his own, only for EVIL to explode into Kota with a Headbutt, Spinning Elbow and a HUGE Lariat. EVIL pulled Kota up and scored with Darkness Falls, getting an extremely close 2, before calling for the end and hitting Everything Is EVILLLLLLL to get the 3.

9)   G1 Climax – A Block: KENTA (2) vs “The Ace of the Universe” Hiroshi Tanahashi

Katsuyori Shibata came out and joined the Japanese commentary team before the match.

Winner: KENTA (2) after Hiroshi scored with The High Fly Cross Body, he quickly went back to the top and flew off with The High Fly Flow, but KENTA got his knees up! After some recovery, KENTA crawled into the opposite corner and charged in, only for Tanahashi to get his boots up and hit the ropes for Sling Blade, which KENTA countered into a Rear Naked Choke! KENTA took Hiroshi to a seated position and hit the ropes for The PK, but Tanahashi caught it and started to stand up, only for KENTA to blast Tanahashi with a Jumping Knee, followed by The PK and Go To Sleep to put Hiroshi down for the 3.

KENTA gets the go home promo. Surreal
