ROH continued its build towards their 14th Anniversary show to be held in Las Vegas on the 26th of February. The Briscoes vs. Elgin and Tanahashi has been announced for the event, with Tanahashi seemingly working through his shoulder injury. The current rumor has ReDRagon pegged to face Gedo and Sakuraba as well at the 14th Anniversary. Meanwhile, NJPW has already begun promoting matches and appearances for their joint ROH tour of Japan, with Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong and Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin already booked. Talent set to appear for the shows are as follows:

• Jay Lethal
• Roderick Strong
• Adam Cole
• Michael Elgin
• The Briscoes
• ReDRagon
• Moose
• Dalton Castle
• Delirious

The top prospect tournament has been progressing on ROH TV, with Brian Fury & Punisher Martinez advancing to the semifinals. The other semifinalists will be revealed on ROH TV next week; however, if you want to know the other competitors right now you can highlight the portion here and change the font to black for a SPOILER à Action Ortiz & Lio Rush.

EVOLVE held a massive Tag Team Tournament to crown inaugural EVOLVE Tag Team Champions. Full reviews of night 1, night 2, and night 3 can all be found HERE

The standout match from the weekend was Tommy End & Chris Hero vs. Zack Sabre Jr. & Sami Callihan. In short, it was a tag team affair that can be seen as a legitimate MOTY candidate for 2016 (and although its only the beginning of February a number of MOTY candidates have already popped up).
Evolve will return on March 19th in Queens, NY. The main event will see Timothy Thatcher defend the EVOLVE Championship against Matt Riddle. Thus far, the following wrestlers have been signed to compete with no other matches announced:

• Johnny Gargano
• Zack Sabre Jr.
• Chris Hero
• Drew Gulak
• Tracy Williams
• TJ Perkins
• Sami Callihan
• Team Tremendous

Lucha Underground
made its long awaited return to the temple in a show that featured all the hallmarks fans loved about the show. Fenix and King Cueno had a fantastic match, while after a dominant title defense by Mil Muertes, a new challenger stepped up to issue a challenge to the Lucha Underground Champ by way of a Pentagon attack. The directing and cinematography of the show continue to give it the feel of a big time thriller fans are invested in. A full review of the show can be found HERE

Chikara Pro
held a double header this past weekend with The Days of the Phoenix and 5 Senses. NRG Tag Team retained the Campeonatos de Parejas titles and Princess Kimber Lee held on to the Grand Championship via DQ when Blaster McMassive interfered in the match while dressed as an ice cream (I swear I’m not making this up). Post match the Devestation Corporation beat down Lee and vowed to take her down.

Shine Wrestling held Shine 32 this past weekend. I’m told the main event between Santana Garrett and Taylor made was good, but Su Young vs. Allysin Kay was the match of the night. The card set up a potential rematch between Jessica Havok and Vanessa Kraven at the next show and a minor tease by Kimber Lee that her and Cherry will be coming for the Shine Tag Team titles.

AAW held The Chaos Theory on January 15th in a show that saw Eddie Kingston retain his AAW World Title while AR Fox defeated Davey Vega to become the new Heritage Champion.

AAW’s next show will be on February 19th when they host The Art of War. Eddie Kingston will defend the AAW World Title against Sami Callihan; AR Fox will defend the Heritage Title against Matt Cage; and there will be a Monster’s Ball match involving Abyss, Kongo Kong, Ryan Boz, and Russ Jones. Jack Evens will make his AAW debut in their March show.

Shimmer will be hosting a tournament on April 2nd to crown an inaugural Heart of Shimmer Champion. No participants or matches have been announced at this time.

AIW has put out a full card for their February 12th show Don’t Feed Us After Midnight:

• 6 Pack Scramble: Eddie Kingston vs. Frankie Flynn vs. Joshua Singh vs. Britt Baker vs. Space Monkey vs. Brian Carson
• Fatal 4-way: DJZ vs. Louis Lyndon vs. Façade vs. Cloudy
• 6 Man Tag Match: Jock Samson, Tracey Smothers, & Bunkhouse Buck w/ Col. Robert Parker vs. Dick Justice, Marion Fontaine, & Colt Cabana w/ Missy Hyatt
• Brian Myers vs. Tim Donst
• Alex Shelly vs. Candice LeRae
• AIW Tag Team Title Match: Hot Sauce Entertainment vs. To Infinity And Beyond
• Absolute Title Match: Ethan Page © vs. Josh Prohibition

Smash Wrestling & CZW held their joint show a couple weeks ago. The standout match was said to be the Dub Boys vs. The Overdogs, with an honorable mention going to Johnny Gargano vs. Sami Callihan. The night also featured an insane CZW Rules match where DJ Hyde and Scotty O’Shea just beat each other down with kendo sticks, chairs, and even a keyboard! While not as crazy as what went on during Cage of Death, but it was still brutal.

Capitalizing on the success of the show, Smash has announced another joint show. This time, it will be Smash Wrestling & Chikara Pro going head to head. No date or matches have been announced.

Smash’s next show, the F8ful Eight will be on February 20th. The show is built around a massive Tag Team Tournament with the participants listed below:

• The Overdogs (Sebastian Suave & John Greed)
• Tabernack De Team (Mathieu St. Jacques & Thomas Dubois)
• Super Smash Bros. (Stu Grayson & Player Uno)
• The Fraternity (Trent Gibson & Channing Decker)
• TNT (Tyson & Tornado)
• Team Rockstar Pro (Ron Mathis & Jake Crist)
• Well Oiled Machines (Pepper Parks & Psycho Mike) w/ Cherry Bomb
• The American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards)

CZW has added 3 matches to their 17th Anniversary show on February 13th; the full card is listed below. At the event Drake Younger will be inducted into the CZW Hall of Fame.

• Danny Havoc vs. Ricky Shane Page
• Masada vs. AR Fox
• The Amazing Gulaks vs. Dub Boys
• Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Sami Callihan
