ROH was one of the many promotions that held a show this past weekend in Dallas, TX as part of Wrestlemania weekend. For their part, ROH held two Supercard of Honor shows. The shows were not available on iPPV, but feedback from the live audiences revolved around a great Young Bucks/Motor City Machine Guns match and the return of Colt Cabana on day 1. Day 2 was said to feature another great match between Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly.

EVOLVE held two shows as well this past weekend. EVOLVE 58  featured an incredible match between Zack Sabre Jr. and Will Ospreay, there is a review of the show HERE  – EVOLVE 59 had its own incredible match as Ricochet took on Will Ospreay in a main event showdown between the two best highflyers in the world. Unfortunately, EVOLVE 59 was plagued by a massive iPPV failure that prevented home audiences from watching most of the show. Which was quite a shame as many viewers claimed it to be a possible show of the weekend due to the main event, Catch Point capturing the Tag titles from Garagano & Galloway, and an impressive first time encounter between Zack Sabre Jr. and Matt Riddle, full review HERE

EVOLVE rounded out their weekend with the WWN Supershow: Mercury Rising, a collaborative event featuring matches from FIP and Shine as well. A full review of the show can be found HERE and it was by all accounts a show of the weekend with an insane 6-man tag main event. All titles were retained on the show, along with another great encounter between Chris Hero and Zack Sabre Jr.

SHIMMER made its long awaited return to iPPV this past weekend with Shimmer 80. The show was built around a massive 12-woman tournament to crown an inaugural Heart of Shimmer Champion. The stand out performers of the show were said to be Heidi Lovelace, Nicole Savoy, and Candice LeRae, all of whom made it to the triple threat final. The final was universally seen as the match of the show, with Savoy coming out on top as the Heart of Shimmer Champion. Early matches of note were Savoy vs. Lufisto and Lovelace vs. Nicole Matthews.

CZW held Welcome to the Combat Zone in a show that was said to not be up to the caliber of other shows from the weekend. The opening match of AR Fox vs. Shane Strickland vs. Dezmond Xavier vs. Trevor Lee vs. Joey Janela vs. Ricochet was said to be a great match however, and a hidden gem of the weekend. The match was apparently a highflying spectacle and Shane Strickland came out on top. All titles were retained and the main event Deathmatch between Masada and Tremont was said to be fairly mediocre.

Chikara Pro announced it would be holding its annual King of Trios tournament from September 2nd – 4th in Easton, PA.
