First of all, I’d like to congratulate Scotty Swift who became your NEW WrestleZone Champion after defeating Joe Coffey at ‘Aberdeen Anarchy’ this past weekend.
NGW Wrestling have announced that Zack Gibson will face Bubblegum and Nathan Cruz will take on the ‘Wildboar’ Mike Hitchman in the ‘Davey Boy Smith’ Memorial Tournament Cup Finals on Jun 7th. These matches will be included on a card that features our NGW Unified Champion, Rampage Brown, going one-on-one with TNA star Bram, Jody Fleisch will wrestle ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm, all of this will be part of Brit Wrest-Fest 2015 in Liverpool and is sponsored by Challenge TV & WrestleTalk TV. Others scheduled to appear will be Doug Williams, Grado and the ‘Queen of Swag’ Chardonnay.
In other NGW news, Nathan Cruz became the #1 Contender for Rampage Brown’s title after defeating Bubblegum and El Ligero in a Triple Threat Match at ‘Anarchy’ this past Saturday in Keighley.
Tidal Wrestling have now added Ruby Summers, Dan James and Joe Coffey to their ‘Cryme Tyne’ show in Newcastle on Jun 14th. The show will also include TNA’s Bram. Liam Lazarus will be defending his title against Jackie Polo.
For their Jun 28th show ‘High Tide 2015’ at the Leeds University Union we will see Liam Lazarus defend his title (as long as he’s still champion) against the brutal Rampage Brown, Dave Mastiff teams with T-Bone to take on Wolfgang and Big Damo on top of this Addy Starr will face JD Boom in a ‘Barefoot LEGO Match’, where fans are encouraged to bring the LEGO™. Let’s see if we can get an “Everything is Awesome” chant started!!
Revolution Pro will have 3 title matches on the line at their ‘Summer Sizzler’ show on Jun 14th. These will be; Marty Scurll defending his RPW Heavyweight Championship against the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, A.J. Styles, Will Osprey will defend his RPW Cruiserweight Championship against former WWE star, Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) in a two out of three falls match and finally The Thrillers (former NXT star Joel Redman / Mark Haskins) will defend their RPW Tag Titles against The Revolutionist (Sha Samuels / James Castle).
PROGRESS Wrestling and Suplex Wrestling brought us, Chapter 19: ‘Super Strong Style 16’ which included a 16-Man Tournament spanning over Sunday 24th and Monday 25th May. In the Main Event of #SSS16Day1 The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) defeated The Regression (PROGRESS Champion, Jimmy Havoc & Paul Robinson). By the end of #SSS16Day2 we had witnessed the crowning of new Tag Team Champions in the form of the Sumerian Death Squad, Tommy End / Michael Dante, who beat the team of Nathan Cruz / El Ligero. There was a brutal NO DQ women’s match between Pollyanna and Jinny and in the Main Event, Will Osprey became the winner of the 16-Man Tournament, he will now receive a Title Match against Jimmy Havoc at, Chapter 20: ‘THUNDERBASTARD: Beyond THUNDERBASTARD’
Looking forward to next weekend Fierce Females will host ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ on the 29th May at the Walkabout in Glasgow. Here we can look forward to the very best from the women’s division on the UK scene, including a Rumble for the Fierce Females Championship currently held by Kay Lee Ray.
