UK Wrestling Round-Up (20/7/15)

PAID Promotions have added 2 new matches to their August 15th show, “Vendetta”, which will be held at the Winter Gardens, Marine Rd, Morecambe. These will be the team of So Scandalous (Ryan Smile & Damian Dunne) facing The Referendum (Lewis Girvan & Bobby Roberts) and Shawn Vassey will face Sexy Kev in singles competition. Also on the card we will see a women’s 4-way match between Toni Storm, Viper, Lana Austin and Nikki Storm. In what will be the Main Event of the evening, the Alpha Omega (Joey Hayes & PPW Heavyweight Champion Stixx) will take on Team PAID (Johnny Phere & Craig Kollins) and will have the stipulation, if Alpha Omega win then PAID Promotions will be renamed to Alpha Omega. However if Team PAID win the match then Alpha Omega will be disbanded, Stixx will be stripped of the title belt and then banned from the promotion. With stakes so high neither side can afford to slip up and need to bring their A game.

Insane Championship Wrestling will be including the former TNA World Heavyweight & TNA Tag Team Champion, Magnus, plus former WWE Women’s Champion & TNA Knockout Champion, Mickie James to their “Spacebaws Episode II: Come As You Are” event which will be held at The Garage, Glasgow on August 30th. As of right now we’ve not been informed if they will wrestle or what part they’ll play on the night so make sure to keep on eye out on social media for any updates.

In news from the New Generation Wrestling camp, on August 2nd, “A New Dawn” at the Pudsey Civic Hall, Pudsey. Robbie X will wrestle Joseph Conners, Bubblegum will be involved in a 3-way match with ‘Flash’ Morgan Webster & Ashton Smith and finally, Nathan Cruz will make his first Undisputed NGW Title defence against one member of The Control, namely Mark Haskins, as they try to get some revenge on him after he beat Rampage Brown at last months event for the belt.

Due to injury former TNA World Heavyweight & X Division Champion, Chris Sabin will be unable to wrestle at Pro Wrestling Chaos’ “Hell Is For Heroes” show which will be held on August 1st at the BAWA Club, Filton, Bristol. Don’t worry though as they have found a suitable replacement on short notice as former TNA X Division Champion and TNA British Bootcamp 1 winner, Rockstar Spud will take his place in the 3-way match with ‘Flash’ Morgan Webster & Damian Dunne. Also scheduled for the night will be; Eddie Dennis vs former NXT star Chris Hero and the King of Chaos Champion, Mike Bird will defend his title against TNA British Bootcamp 2 winner, Mark Andrews.

Empress Pro will present their next show “#EPI2015” from the Arts4Every1 Centre, High Wycombe on July 25th and the card is as followed; Team Superficial (Nadia Sapphire & Faith Lehaine) faces The BAE Club (Sammi Jayne & Debbie Sharpe), in the #EPI2015 Tournament Qualifying matches, Katey Harvey vs Rhia O’Reilly, Chardonnay vs Courtney, Violet Vendetta vs Addy Starr, Kay Lee Ray vs Sammi Baynz with the winners of those meeting in a 4-way to determine the ultimate tournament champion.

Preston City Wrestling have announced this week that at their August 7th show, “The Forth Awakens” which will be their 4th Anniversary and held as usual at the Evoque in Preston PCW’s new Heavyweight Champion, Dave Mastiff will defend his title against Cruiserweight Champion and member of the FWB (Friends With Benefits), Bubblegum. Will Bubblegum be able to exact some revenge as fellow member, Chris Masters lost the title to Mastiff at “Tribute To The Troops” earlier this month. Other FWB members, Team Single (T-Bone & Rampage Brown) will be defending their tag titles in a Very Open Challenge against a team that hasn’t been determined as of yet. Kris Travis makes his eagerly anticipated return to wrestling after his cancer scare against hard man and ‘East End Butcher’ Sha Samuels, TNA’s Drew Galloway goes up against PCW regular Noam Dar, ROH’s reDragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) take on a team that the fans are loving, Joey Hayes & Martin Kirby. Finally, former TNA/ROH and now WWE NXT star, ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’, the one and only Samoa Joe is set to appear.
