All Japan Pro Wrestling have revealed the cards for the ‘2018 Dynamite Series’ weekender in Sapporo. As stated in my review of the Differ Ariake show, Violent Giants, Suwama & Shuji Ishikawa challenge Dylan James & Ryouji Sai for the AJPW Tag Team Championships, or the Double Crown as James has taken to call it. This contest will main event the first night on the 30/06/2018, while on the second night the AJPW Junior Heavyweight title is on the line as Atsushi Aoki defends against Yohei Nakajima, the show will be main evented by a non-title special singles match as Jake Lee faces Kento Miyahara.

AJPW announced the 7 teams for Jnr Tag Battle of Glory which will take place in August.
• Masaaki Mochizuki & Shun Skywalker from Dragon Gate
• Masashi Takeda (BJW/FREEDOMS) & Atsushi Maruyama
• Koji Iwamoto & TAJIRI
• Yohei Nakajima & Black Tiger VII
• Kaji Tomato & Shiori Asahi from K-DOJO
• Atsushi Aoki & Hikaru Sato
• Shuji Kondo (Wrestle-1) & Kotaro Suzuki

The main event of TAKAYAMANIA was announced, the show will take place on 31/08/2018 and will be headlined by a 6 man tag as Minoru Suzuki, NOSAWA Rongai & MAZADA take on Taiyo Kea, Kaz Hayashi & TAKA Michinoku. Takayama has now got some mobility in his shoulder injuries, he has taken producers duties for this show. No other matches announced but talent said to appear are: Naomichi Marufuji, Takao Omori and DDT President Sanshiro Takagi.

During a recent ZERO1 event, 03/06/2018, Yusaku Obata appeared to collapse on the top rope, it has been revealed as a heatstroke due he has some injuries and breathing issues from the fall. He should recover fully after a period of rest.

On the 03/06/2018, World Wonder Ring Stardom held a show in Sapporo which was headlined by a Goddesses of Stardom Championship match which was won by the team of Mayu Iwatani & Saki Kashima as they dethrone the Oedo Tai team of Kagetsu & Hana Kimuru, who held the belts for 347 days. On the 23/05/2018 show, Momo Watanabe defeated Io Shirai for the Wonder of Stardom Championship.

On 09/06/2018, Kagetsu defeated Toni Storm for the World of Stardom belt.

Multiple title changes at NJPW ‘Dominion’ on 09/06. The Young Bucks become the new IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Michael Elgin pins Taichi to take Hirooki Goto’s NEVER Openweight crown. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship was won by Hiromu Takahashi, becoming a 2x champion as he defeated Will Ospreay. Chris Jericho ended Tetsuya Naito’s IWGP Intercontinental Championship reign. Kenny Omega becomes the 66th IWGP Heavyweight Champion, winning the title for the first time after defeating Kazuchika Okada, 2:1 in a 2 out of 3 falls match that went 65 minutes.

Rey Mysterio made his NJPW debut on the card.

NJPW announced that Hiromu Takahashi will defend his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against El Desperado, the NEVER Openweight Championship will also be defended as Michael Elgin tries to see of the challenge of former champion Hirooki Goto.

Masato Yoshino won Dragon Gate King Of Gate tournament on 09/06. He then went on to successfully win the Open the Dream Gate title from Masaaki Mochizuki on 10/06. Bandido and Flamita are scheduled for the Rainbow Gate tour.

Pro Wrestling Noah held the first day of Navigation with Emerald Spirits on 10/06 at the Korakuen Hall, drawing a reported 1,469 fans. Noah are steadily building which is great to see as a puroresu fan.

Main talking points from this show is Zero1 talent Masato Tanaka appears to be interjecting himself in the generational war and Kenoh defeated Kaito Kiyomiya in what is said to have been a hard hitting match up, Kenoh will challenge Sugiura for the GHC title on June 26th at Korakuen Hall.

Former Dragon Gate wrestler and current Dove Pro and Union Pro Champion, Naoki Tanisaki has been announced for cards in the UK and Ireland, appearing for Fight Club Pro and Over The Top.

Dramatic Dream Team have added to their card for What are you doing 2018, 24/06 at the Korakuen. KUDO Debut 15th Anniversary Match: KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi vs. Danshoku Dieno, Makoto Oishi & Super Sasadango Machine. All Out have been vocal about chasing down the multi man championships that DDT has to offer and have been giving a KO-D 6 Tag Championhip Match as Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata challenge Kota Umeda, Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda for the gold. Kazusada Higuchi gets a shot at the KO-D Openweight Championship as he challenges Shigehiro Irie.
