British Wrestling Round-Up (28/9/15)

Added by Michael Jolly

As you have all seen and read via social media, last week the one and only Kris Travis had the sad news given to him that he would have to retire from the world of professional wrestling due to injury. This is very unfortunate as Kris has had a tough 12 months battling back from stomach cancer with the support from his friends, family and fans. He will be missed and remembered for all the amazing matches he’s had wrestling for all the superb companies across the UK including dark matches for TNA and WWE. We love you and wish you all the best with your future endeavours, hopefully something wrestling related.

This past weekend Preston City Wrestling presented their “HEROES” show from the Evoque nightclub in Preston, where Bubblegum was able to defeat Ashton Smith, Dean Allmark and Xander Cooper in a Fatal 4-Way to stay your PCW Cruiserweight Champion. In the Main Event, Dave Mastiff retained his PCW Heavyweight Championship when he was able to defeat current TNA star, Bobby Lashley. After the match, Team Single (Rampage Brown & T-Bone) would attack Mastiff which lead to Martin Kirby attempted to cash-in Joey Hayes’s Money In The Bank briefcase but was unable to do so when Hayes stopped him.

For their double header show “Scary Moves” and “Super Fright Night” both to be held on October 31st, we will see Dave Mastiff against former WWE/TNA/ECW/ROH star, Rhyno in the day and then defend his PCW Heavyweight Championship against Global Force Wrestling founder, Jeff Jarrett on the evening show. Nick ‘Magnus’ Aldis & Mickie James will team up to take on Viper & the mysterious, Grim Reaper (who will it be this year?).
