British Wrestling Round-Up (17/8/15)

In an update from last weeks Wrestling Round-Up, Dick Morgan will be performing double duty at Vertigo Pro Wrestling’s “Into The Hill” on September 12th from the Theatr Soar, Merthyr Tydfil, as not only will he be facing Marty Scurll in the VPW Calling Spots Championship Tournament he will be teaming with Eddie Dennis to take on the team of Mike Bird & ‘Lord’ Jonathan Windsor.

The Hunter Brothers (Jim & Lee Hunter) have now been added to Pro Chaos Wrestling’s “The King Is Dead, Long Live The King” event as they will team up against The Dunne Brothers (Pete & Damian) on September 19th which will come from The Filwood Community Centre, Bristol.

It has also been announced that Chaos have received funds from a NEW investment group who wish to help the company grow but will not have any involvement in the running of the company.

NWA: Fight! Nation announced a HUGE list of international wrestling talent as well as some of the best from the UK for their November 7th show called “Capital Punishment” which will be held at Artsdepot, London. Wrestlers scheduled to appear will be; Sebastian, Mark Haskins, ‘The East End Butcher’ Sha Samuels, Paul Robinson, the ‘Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm, Doug Williams, former NXT star Joel Redman, current NWA British Champion Marty Scurll and former TNA stars Gunner and MVP.

HOPE Wrestling have now included more matches to both of their August shows. These added match ups include; T-Bone vs Burchill, Robert Sharpe vs Danny Chase and former tag partners, Joseph Conners vs Paul Malen all in singles competition at “Evolution 27: You Ask About My Conscience & I’ll Offer you My Soul” on the 21st from The Forest Arena in Mansfield. At their 2nd show, “Save The Cheerleader… Save The World” which is held on the 23rd from the Walkabout in Derby, Kris Travis faces L.J. Heron and Violet Vendetta will be in 3-Way action against Ruby Summers and Lana Austin.

Kamikaze Pro have now included ‘All Day Star’ Ryan Smile vs Bubblegum in singles action and a 3-Way between ‘The Wolf of Broad St.’ Elliot Jordan, Liam Doyle & ‘The Polish Punisher’ Mika to an already stacked card at the “Brute Force” show on August 29th from The Collingwood Centre, Great Barr, Birmingham. Not only that, former TNA Knockout Champion, Angelina Love will be joining Davey Richards (one half of TNA’s The Wolves) on the 27th of September for “Full Moon” which will take place from The Cadbury Club in Bournville, Birmingham.

Revolution Pro Wrestling will welcome TNA’s The Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) to “Live At Guildhall” on August 28th from Portsmouth’s Guildhall, Portsmouth and have also included RPW British Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles defending his title against the very talented and one half of the former RPW Tag Team Champions, Mark Haskins. ROH’s ACH has been added to their “Uprising” show this October 2nd, York Hall, Bethnal Green, London, when he will take on Kris Travis.

4 Front Wrestling stated last week that former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Eric Young will be appearing over the 23rd/24th of October at both “Live In Portishead” which will be held at the Somerset Hall, Portishead and at “Live In Folkestone” which will be at the Hawkinge Community Centre, Hawkinge, Folkestone. Your current 4FW Heavyweight Champion, Doug Williams has also been confirmed to appear and the first match signed for the 24th will be between Van Wicked and JD Knight.

Preston City Wresting have announced some more matches to the September “Heroes” show which, as always, will be held at the Evoque Nightclub, Preston. These will be; Kris Travis vs Iestyn Rees, T-Bone (one half of the PCW Tag Team Champions) vs former #BOOM Champion, Dave Rayne. Dave Mastiff will be defending his PCW Heavyweight Championship against former WWE United States Champion/TNA World Heavyweight Champion and Bellator star, Bobby Lashley.

International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom have had a very busy week as they have added even more matches to their upcoming August and September shows. We now have a NO DQ Tag Team Match between The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) and The Murkers (Jon Ryan & Kurrupt) as part of “If You Like Piña Coladas…and Getting Kicked In The Face” show which will be held at The Tap ‘n’ Tin, Chatham on August 23rd.

At “#11YA: UK Future 8” coming from The Angel Centre, Tonbridge on September 19th, Josh Shooter will be in singles competition against former ROH TV Champion, ‘The Sicilian Psychopath’ Tommaso Ciampa. On September 20th, Kris Travis will face the “UK Future 8” winner from the previous night in the Quarter-Finals of the UK Super 8 Tournament at the same venue.

It was also announced that Bobby Lashley will make his debut for the company on the September 26th at “#11YA: Unfinished Business” at the Selsdon Community Centre and then the following night at “#11YA: Tour Finale” White Oaks Leisure Centre, Swanley. Two matches for the 27th are; the return of the 8-Man Scrum Match, a 10-Man Elimination Tag Team Match with Daniel Edler and Vince Russo (both being team captains). Grado, Tommy End and the IPW:UK Tag Team Champions, D&D (Danny Duggan & Cieran Donnelly) are also scheduled to attend the events.
