Devon Moore is well known in CZW, holding numerous titles there and is currently a member of the The Nation Of Intoxication stable.
For the people who don’t know who you are, could you introduce yourself?
My name is Devon Moore, I’ve been in the biz since ’01. I’ve been all around the world to places like Japan, Mexico, England and Germany.
You were trained by the late John Kronus (of ECW and XPW fame) and O-Dogg, how did you find that experience being trained by Kronus in particular, as he was part of ECW?
Kronos certainly was a character haha. But seriously, he was a real nice guy helped me out a lot.
Records state that you had your first match for ICW (Impact Championship Wrestling), what are your memories of that time?
My first match was for DIW in Philly but ICW was great, I was 17-18, wrestling in the Real Elks Lodge where ECW held many events. It really meant a lot to me.
In you career, you’ve won titles such as the JAPW New Jersey State Championship, IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight Championship, CZW Wired TV Championship and the CZW World Heavyweight Championship among many others. Which title holds the most meaning to you?
The PWU Heavyweight title because it was my first one and the company made me, I loved it there. Also the PWS heavyweight title as I was their first and of course, the CZW Heavyweight title.
You’re currently part of The Nation Of Intoxication with Danny Havoc and Lucky 13, who came up with the name and why those people in particular?
It was Danny Havoc who came up with the name; it’s us three because we’re best friends.
CZW is pretty much your “home” promotion, what is it about CZW that makes it a place that you continue to work at?
CZW is one of the top indys in the States, the same as PWS and I love it at both of them.
In IWA Mid-South you teamed with Drake Younger to form Deadly Under The Influence, what do you make of going to WWE and being a ref in NXT?
I think it’s great; he has a family and did what’s best for them and him. I’m really happy for him.
You’ve said in the past you were close to quitting the business, what kept you from doing so?
The drama of it all, some of these guys just don’t get it at all.
So far in your wrestling career, you’ve faced opponents such as DJ Hyde, MASADA, Trent Acid, The Young Bucks, Blk Jeez, Eddie Kingston, Jack Evans, Mad Man Pondo and many, many more. Out of the many bouts you’ve had, is there one that sticks out in your mind?
Trent Acid is definitely one for me, any match I had with Too Cold Scorpio, I can’t think of anymore, there’s been a lot of ‘em!
What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Get the The Nation Of Intoxication out more and keep proving all the haters wrong.
Is there anything else you’d like to say, add or plug?
