The Genius Of PWG

Added by Keith Bennett

Starting life on May of 2003 and having its first show on the 26th of July off that year. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla was the brain child of Southern California wrestlers Super Dragon, Disco Machine, Scott Lost, Top Gun Talwar, Excalibur and Joey Ryan.

With a steady mix of local talent and top independent wrestlers from all over America. Such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and CM Punk. Running shows for the first few years in different venues over Southern California. The promotion found a home at the American Legion based in Reseda California. Set in intimate surroundings in front of an enthusiastic crowd. With wrestlers showcasing their talent. There is no such thing as a bad PWG show. In fact it has now become the place for wrestlers from all over the world. To show what they can do. Hosting names over the years such as CIMA, Susumu Yokosuka, Tommy End, Areostar, Kenny Omega, Kevin Steen and Marty Scurll to name just a few.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has become a MECCA for independent wrestlers with yearly shows like All Star Weekend, DDT4 and Battle of Los Angeles. Becoming must watch shows for wrestling fans all over the planet. They have also helped wrestlers to make names for themselves such as The Young Bucks, and Frankie Kazarian. They are also the home of wrestlings only full time Intergender team Joey Ryan and Candice LeRae known as The Worlds Cutest Tag Team.

When other wrestling promotions seem hell bent for a TV deal or pay per view shows for it only to become their death nail. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla record all of their shows for DVD. they have no television program or pay per view PWG seem to have learned from other wrestling promotions mistakes

Some PWG DVD’s of note are

LIFE DURING WARTIME

IT’S IT (WHAT IS IT?)

AGAINST THE GRAIN

STEEN WOLF

And of course any of the All Star Weekend, Battle of Los Angeles or Threemendous shows. PWG is a great wrestling promotion that is worth your time and money. If you have never seen any of their shows give them a go you wont be disappointed.
