PCW ‘Showdown’ (5/6/15) Preview

TLC Match for the PCW Tag Team Championships: Team Single (Rampage Brown & T-Bone) (c) vs The Hooligans (Roy & Zak Knight)

The PCW’s Tag Team Champs have now held the belts for an astonishing 2 years straight and have faced off and beat some of the best in the UK and also from across the pond such as ROH’s Briscoe Brothers, reDRagon, former WCW, TNA and WWE stars, The Steiner Brothers and one of the best tag teams EVER, The Dudley Boyz (Team 3D). The Hooligans who have more experience as a tag team, got their wish of a title shot after winning the huge 10-man tag team match at 5uperShow. Experience aside, I don’t think they will be able to match the power of Rampage and T-Bone.
Predicted Winners: Team Single

Non Title Match for the Cruiserweight Championship: Bubblegum vs Noam Dar

Noam Dar was selected by the PCW fans to take on the Cruiserweight Champion and this should be a very entertaining match. I think Bubblegum will come to the ring in his usual full of swagger way and try to antagonise Dar with his cheap shots, as he has done in the past, to make Dar slip up. Having watch Noam wrestle I don’t think he will fall for these plays however Bubblegum may ultimately have the upper hand due to his alliance with FWB (Friends with Benefits).
Predicted Winner: Bubblegum

Dave Mastiff vs Sha Samuels (No Holds Barred)

Mastiff requested Samuels as his opponent after been part of the 10-man tag team that won at 5uperShow. Watching ‘The Bastard’ wrestle ‘The Eastend Butcher’ will be like watching two bulls lock-up horns for dominance. I expect this match to be brutal with both of these guys being inordinately hard hitters. Both contenders have held championships all over the UK scene and put in awesome showing in ‘British Bootcamp’ for TNA. Previous bouts between these two have brought the proverbial house down, who remembers the match at ‘The Brawl in the Hall’ when Mastiff was disqualified leaving Samuels victorious after interference from Samuels former tag team partner, Terry Frazier.
Predicted Winner: Dave Mastiff

Joanna Rose vs Dave Rayne

Dave Rayne requested this match as a reward for winning the 10-man tag team match at 5uperShow. This match will go one of two ways, the PCW GM will either have herself replaced or FWB will come to the ring and smack the s**t out of the #BOOM Champ.
Predicted Winner: Anyone but Dave Rayne

Martin Kirby & Joey Hayes vs So Scandalous (Ryan Smile & Damian Dunne)

I’ve always enjoyed seeing PCW regulars Kirby & Hayes wrestle and think Smile and Dunne, who were victorious against WWE former Tag Champions ‘Too Cool’ will take them to the limit. All four are amazing wrestlers, I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see Kirby and Smile in the ring together, their fast paced style and high flying moves could start the obligatory “This is Awesome” chant. I think this could be the standout match of the night!!
Predicted Winners: So Scandalous

Charlie Garrett vs Dean Allmark vs Ashton Smith vs El Ligero

Where do I start! Everyone of these athletes are able to put on a show and having all four wrestle each other just makes it an even more enjoyable watch, from the edge of your seat of course! They are all accomplished wrestlers and firm fan favourites. This promises to be a fast paced, high-flying match up with all participants taking the lead at various points. This one is a one to watch for me and cannot wait to break out the “Holy S**t” or even a “Martin” chant.
Predicted Winner: Dean Allmark

The Rematch: AJ Styles vs Lionheart

After winning the 10-man tag match at The 5uperShow on the 24 – 25th April 2015, Lionheart requested this match. As you may or may not be aware Lionheart’s neck was broken in their last confrontation (Road To Glory 2014) as a result of a ‘Styles Clash’. I was at the event and was so worried that I had seen the last match that Lionheart would ever play a part in. How wrong was I? He’s worked so hard to come back and I’m so proud of him for not giving up and believe the PCW fans will be 100% behind him.
Predicted Winner: Lionheart
