Once again PCW are back with another Road To Glory show and true to form, it’s another stacked show featuring top British talent and of course, overseas talent that have worked for the biggest companies in North America and in WWE’s case, the world.
Also, this trio of shows from PCW will see the return to in ring action by the man who has been the general manager for a good part of a year, Lionheart.
Lionheart (Adrian McCallum) was unfortunately injured just over 12 months ago but has put himself through an intense training regime to get himself ready for his comeback. It’ll be great to see the big man back in the ring, doing what he does best. I personally want to congratulate him for bouncing back and wish him all the best.
So, onto the matches, it’s a 16 man tournament and the matches set out for the first round look outstanding.
PJ Black who was previously Justin Gabriel in the WWE will be making his PCW debut as he’ll be going up against the UK’s very own Luchador El Ligero. Fans of the UK product will be very familiar with the hard working style of Ligero and followers of the WWE will know Black has a very exciting move set himself. This is set up to be a great match.
One half of the current PCW tag team champions T-Bone will take former WWE star Alberto El Patron who worked there as Alberto Del Rio of course. El Patron’s matches that I have seen since he left the WWE have been excellent and I am sure this one will be no different but I am sure, T-Bone will be a strong challenge for the man from Mexico.
The other half of the PCW tag team champions Rampage Brown will be taking on highly decorated Matt Hardy. Hardy of course has won many tag team titles with his brother Jeff but has also had an accomplished career as a singles wrestler so this should be an interesting battle.
John Morrison will be returning to PCW, this time to face the UK’s exciting high flyer, the ‘Aerial Assassin’ Will Ospreay. Morrison is currently a main character on the Lucha Underground show over in the US where he works as Johnny Mundo and each week he’s on he has stellar encounters. Ospreay week in and week out has excellent matches here in the UK often having the match of the night and I think he’ll be very close to that again this coming Friday with Morrison.
As mentioned earlier, Lionheart makes his in ring comeback on Friday against Joey Hayes, there’s history with these two guys and these will make for a firey encounter and it’ll be emotional for Lionheart with it being his comeback match.
In a battle of the heavyweights, everybody’s favourite bastard Dave Mastiff will be squaring off against the East End Butcher Sha Samuels. Not a first time match but sure to be a hard hitting encounter.
PCW Cruiserweight champion Bubblegum will be taking on Ashton Smith. Bubblegum always the crafty one will be hoping to get one over the relative newcomer to PCW Smith. Like always with Bubblegum , I imagine it’ll be an entertaining affair.
The final first round match will feature Martin Kirby but his opponent is as of yet unnamed. PCW have been known to have a big name turn up announced previous times before so it’ll be interesting who it is this time around.
Other guys set to appear include current PCW champion Uhaa Nation, former champion Chris Masters & Eugene
So that’s it guys, Road To Glory 2015, I would say the biggest ever, if there is any remaining tickets head over to http://prestoncitywrestling.com to pick them up.
