This years Battle of Los Angeles is one of the most hyped wrestling tournaments in quite some time. Ever since the entrants in BOLA were announced in July there have been so much buzz around PWG and BOLA. The tournament has it all to make it a historic three nights of wrestling as it has PWG debuts, BOLA debuts, returns of PWG originals, former PWG champs, and former BOLA winners.

1. Matt Sydal

Sydal is formerly known as Evan Bourne in the WWE makes his return to PWG. Sydal recently returned to the indies and the PWG fans are sure to give him a nice reception in his return.

2. Drew Gulak

Gulak is making his PWG and BOLA debut. Gulak has been a mainstay in Combat Zone Wrestling that was born in Philadelphia. Gulak is also a former CZW World Champion.

3. Trevor Lee

Although Trevor Lee only made his PWG debut in March of this year at Mystery Vortex II. Lee is one of the most popular wrestlers in PWG even though he’s only had three matches in PWG. Lee could be one of the darkhorses to make a run at the BOLA crown as he is one of the most popular wrestler in PWG.

4. Chris Sabin

Sabin is another guy who is returning to PWG but he usually in tag matches with former tag team Alex Shelley who made up the Motor City Machine Guns.

5. Johnny Gargano

Gargano has been wrestling in PWG for over a year now and I believe is one of the favorites to win BOLA. Gargano always has a good showing and had a good showing in his BOLA debut last year.

6. Brian Myers

Myers is making his PWG debut and is formerly known as Curt Hawkins in the WWE. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Myers in his matches and how fans the take him.

7. Michael Elgin

Elgin could quite possibly win BOLA as he’s been so close in recent years to win. Elgin is the current ROH World Champion and he’s definitely looking to win BOLA and become PWG World Champ.

8. Biff Busick

Busick is also making his debut in PWG and BOLA. Busick is the current CZW champ who defeated fellow newcomer Drew Gulak to become the CZW champ.

9. Kyle O’Reilly

O’Reilly is the current PWG World Champ and one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champs. O’Reilly is also last years BOLA winner and it would be interesting to see how far he goes in this tournament or even if he wins it.

10. Brian Cage

Cage did not wrestle on PWG’s anniversary show due to an injury. Cage has been in primarily tag matches with Michael Elgin as his partner so I don’t expect him to win the tournament or go to far in it.

11. ACH

ACH made his debut in last years BOLA and made a great impression on fans. ACH is one of my darkhorses to win the tournament as he’s had two excellent singles matches on the last 2 PWG shows.

12. Zack Sabre Jr.

Sabre Jr. is making his PWG and BOLA debuts. Sabre Jr. is a big acquisition for this show as it will definitely fans from the UK and the fans that see him for the first time will be amazed with him.

13. Rich Swann

Swann has been in PWG for a while now and has been in tag teams and singles competition but has never won any gold in PWG. Swann is still one of the most loved guys in PWG as the fans always sing “All Night Long” during his matches.

14. Candice LeRae

The 14th entrant was originally Trent? but he is out due to a knee injury. This is LeRae’s debut in BOLA and it will be interesting to see how far she goes after all the buzz was created after the main event of the anniversary show.

15. Cedric Alexander

Alexander made his return to PWG earlier this year at Mystery Vortex II after a couple year hiatus. Alexander is one of the best young stars in wrestling and expect a very good showing in this tournament.

16. AJ Styles

The Phenomenal One AJ Styles is returning to PWG after a substantial amount of time away. Styles is a former PWG champ and is the current IWGP Heavyweight Champ. Expect Styles to go far in the tournament as he is one of the most popular and best wrestlers in this tournament.

17. Bobby Fish

The 17th entrant was originally AR Fox but he is out with a wrist injury. This is Bobby Fish’s PWG and BOLA debut. It will be interesting to see if Bobby Fish goes far enough in the tourney to face Kyle O Reilly who is his tag team partner in reDRagon.

18. Chris Hero

Hero is a former PWG World Champ and is one of the best in PWG. Hero can possibly go far in the tourney as he is a former champ.

19. Chuck Taylor

Taylor is one of the most popular wrestlers with the fans as his comedic timing is amazing as well as his wrestling. Taylor will be without his fellow best friend in Trent? and it will he interesting to see him in singles action.

20. Roderick Strong

Strong is the number one contender to the PWG World Title as he won the number one contenders match at the anniversary show in July. If Strong wins BOLA he will be taking away that number one contendership along with the one he has.

21. Tommaso Ciampa

Ciampa debuted at last years BOLA and has been a standout ever since. Ciampa is looking to farther in this years tourney as he was eliminated in the first round last year.

22. Adam Cole

Cole is a former BOLA winner and longest reigning PWG World Champ. Cole is looking to win BOLA to get back his title.
